Prep: Was a three-year letterwinner in softball for Gretna High School under coaches Bill Heard and Todd Mills...as a senior, hit for a .356 batting average with 22 runs batted in...was an OWH Class A honorable mention in her career while also collecting all-conference honors...played club softball for Nebraska Gold (Omaha, Neb.).

Personal: Daughter of Katie and Chris Barton. Majoring in nursing.
