Indoor: Competed in eight meets for the Dragons in weight throw...set a new personal best in the event at the NSIC Championships, turning in an effort of 53-04.25 (16.26m), now the ninth-best performance in MSUM history...also registered a discus personal best at the UND Open, slinging a 115-01 (35.09m)...finished runner-up in weight throw at the Cobber Open, tossing a 50-05.25 (15.37m). 
Outdoor:

Indoor: Competed in six meets for the Dragons, competing in both weight throw and shot put...turned in two personal best performances at the UND Open in shot put (10.49m) and weight throw (13.96m)...finished ninth overall in the weight throw at the Cobber Indoor Open, tossing 41-08.75 (12.72m).
Outdoor: Competed in six meets for the Dragons in both discus and hammer throw...had a top hammer throw showing at the Bison Open, slinging a 147-02 (44.87m) to place ninth and register a new personal best...set a new personal best in the discus at the NDSU Spring Classic, throwing a 111-02 (33.89m)...had three top five finishes in hammer throw throughout the season, led by fourth-place marks at the Viking Twilight behind a throw of 139-02 (42.43m). 

Prep: Competed for West Central Area High School where he participated in throws...was a two-year team captain for West Central Area and did not miss a single meet during his prep career...also competed in football and basketball.

Personal: Son of Katie Anderson and Travis Nyreen. Majoring in criminal justice.
