Indoor: Competed in seven meets for the Dragons, tallying collegiate bests in both shot put and weight throw...marked a shot put best of 42-03.5 (12.89m) at the Bison Open...also registered a weight throw personal best at the same meet, hurling a 39-04 (11.99m)...placed eighth in the shot put at the Cobber Open.
Outdoor: Competed in six meets for the Dragons across three throwing events...recorded a new personal best in the shot put at the Cobber Open, tossing a 44-09.75 (13.66m) for a seventh-place finish...placed 25th in shot put at the NSIC Outdoor Championships with a top attempt of 43-01.5 (13.14m)...finished ninth in the hammer throw at the Dewey Donat Classic with a personal best throw of 141-04 (43.09m).
Prep: Was a multi-sport athlete for Anoka High School, serving as football team captain as a senior...holds a top shot put of 45-03 in his prep career at Anoka.
Personal: Son of Lori and Ryan Burns. Majoring in graphic design.
