Indoor: Competed in six meets for the Dragons in pole vault, registering a personal best during the season...cleared 15-04.25 (4.68m) at the NSIC Championships for an eight-place finish...the mark is now the seventh-best in MSUM history...did not finish outside the top six during the regular season...placed fourth at the NDSU Alumni Classic, clearing 14-04 (4.37m). 
Outdoor:

2024-25
Indoor: Competed in seven meets of pole vault for the Dragons...had a personal best showing at the Bison Open, clearing 14-05.25 (4.40m)...won the pole vault at the Cobber Open behind a height of 13-08.25 (4.17m)...finished runner-up at the Bison Team Cup with a clearance of 14-01.25 (4.30m). 
Outdoor: Did not compete.

Prep: Competed for Perham High School where he holds personal bests of 13-0 in the pole vault, 5-10 in the high jump and 42-05 in the shot put...was a member of two Perham teams to win the section academic team championship...also competed in basketball.

Personal: Son of Amanda and Dan Novotny. Majoring in project management.
