Prep: Did not miss a start in his career at Plainfield High School, earning all-conference honors his senior season...was also named his team's defensive MVP as a senior as well...also competed in track & field where he was a two-time all-conference and one-time all-state selection...had a top indoor triple jump of 48-01 as a senior, the top leap in the state of Illinois that year.
