Kasey Gagan

Kasey Gagan joins the Dragons on the women’s basketball staff for the 2024-25 season.

Gagan comes to Minnesota after spending her first year coaching at a powerhouse junior college on the East Coast. This past season, she served as Assistant Coach and Director of Player Development & Strength Training for the Community College of Baltimore County, Essex in Baltimore, Maryland. Gagan helped guide the #4 nationally ranked Knights to an undefeated Region and Conference Championship in the 2024 season and also made an appearance in the Final Four of the Division II Junior College National Tournament. Two players from this team garnered All-American status and three players were named All-Conference players.

As a player, Gagan competed for St. Thomas University (Miami, FL), starting at guard and serving as a senior captain. She earned Female Athlete of The Year and Most Valuable Player in her 2022-23 season. Gagan guided the Bobcats in back to back Sun Conference Tournament appearances where she was also named a back to back First Team All Conference player. Prior to this, Gagan was an All American guard for the Community College of Baltimore County, Essex where she led their first-ever team to a 30-2 record, undefeated Region and Conference Championship along with a Division II National Tournament Appearance. In her career, Gagan accumulated 1,578 career points, 422 rebounds, 286 assists and 262 steals.

In December of 2022, Gagan graduated from St. Thomas University (Miami, FL), with a B.A. degree in Psychology and is currently pursuing her M.A. in Criminal Justice at MSUM.

Gagan is a native of Providence, Rhode Island.
