Former Dragon golf standout Chelsey (Ouren) McGinnis is in her 11th season as a member of the women's golf coaching staff at Minnesota State University Moorhead in 2020-21Â and her 10th as the Dragons' head coach. McGinnis was named to the head coaching post in the summer of 2011 after serving as an assistant coach previously.
McGinnis played for three years at MSUM and enjoyed a successful career as a Dragon. She advanced to the regional tournament all three years while at MSUM and earned MVP honors all three years.
She was also a standout at Fergus Falls High School, where she earned six letters in golf and two in basketball.
During her time at MSUM, the Dragon golfers have shined in the classroom as nine individuals have earned NSIC All-Academic honors during her previous three seasons as head coach.
McGinnis graduated from MSUM with a degree in business. She lives in Moorhead with her husband, Ryan and their children, Riggins, Rowdy and Raya.
