Tom Schroeder is in his first season as an assistant coach for the Dragon soccer program. He was hired in June of 2023.
Schroeder comes to MSUM following a stint as an assistant coach for West Fargo Sheyenne High School in West Fargo, N.D. Beginning his tenure in 2019, Schroeder handled assistant coaching duties as well as being the goalkeepers coach for both the Mustang boys' and girls' programs. The Sheyenne boys finished the 2022 season with an 11-4-2 record with Schroeder on staff, which was second in the EDC. During the girls' season, Schroeder helped lead the Mustangs to a second-place regular season finish in the EDC with an impressive 11-3-3 mark. Prior to his coaching work, Schroeder played for the semi-professional Dakota Fusion (based in Fargo-Moorhead) for three seasons.
