Nate Baker

A former national champion and two-time All-American at Minnesota State Moorhead, Nate Baker joined the Dragon coaching staff 2007-08 and was promoted to number one assistant head coach at MSUM for 2008-09.

Baker was crowned a national champion at 165 pounds at the 2006 NCAA Division II National Championships and earned All-American for a second straight year with a third place finish as a senior in 2007.

A transfer from the University of Minnesota, Baker posted a 29-15 overall record and placed fifth in the Big Ten in 2002. He was a member of two Gopher national championship teams.

A three-time state champion at Jackson County Central, he helped JCC capture a pair of state team titles. Baker produced a sparkling 204-12 prep career and was a Junior National champion. He was named to the Dave Schultz Hall of Fame and the Dream and US Teams as a senior. Baker wrestled for father Randy Baker with the Huskies.

He is completing a Construction Management major at MSU Moorhead.
