Alex Bertram is in his fourth year as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Minnesota State Moorhead. Bertram's primary sport coverages include football and men's basketball.
Bertram's continuing education at MSUM has included dry needling, cupping, instrument soft tissue mobilization, and functional movement assessment.
A native of St. Croix, Wis., Bertram found a passion for athletics as a multi-sport athlete. He earned his undergraduate degree in athletic training from St. Cloud State and became a certified athletic trainer in 2019. Bertram did his post-graduate studies at the University of Mary, earning a Masters in kinesiology. While at UMary, Bertram researched posterior chain activation patterns and their association to injury. He also served as a graduate assistant athletic trainer for the Marauders, providing coverage to men's soccer, men's basketball, football, baseball and women's tennis.
Bertram served as an athletic trainer at Florida Gulf Coast University where he was the primary athletic trainer for the Eagle cross country and softball teams. Bertram developed preventative rehab programs for both teams while at FGCU.
