Kennedy Holwerda was hired as an Assistant Athletic Trainer in July of 2024.
Holwerda most recently worked for Sanford Sports Medicine in Fargo, N.D. where she served as an athletic trainer. Prior to moving into her role at Sanford, Holwerda was an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minn., where she worked with the football, swimming & diving and tennis programs from the Golden Gusties.
She worked as an Athletic Trainer for Evangel University in Springfield, Mo., from 2019 until 2021, first serving as a graduate assistant trainer before moving into a full-time role. While at Evangel University, Holwerda was the primary athletic trainer for soccer, softball, track & field and basketball.
Holwerda served as an athletic training intern at the University of Illinois - Springfield while completing her graduate studies.
She holds an undergraduate degree in Athletic Training from Gustavus Adolphus and a Masters of Athletic Training from Missouri State University.
