MIAMI - The Minnesota State University Moorhead Dragons lost their second game of the season on Friday night as they played the Barry Buccaneers in the first game of the Cruizin Classic, 69-63.
Despite leading most of the game, MSUM suffered the loss due to turnovers and the lack of a made field-goal in the final six minutes. The Dragons tripled the Bucs in turnovers, 27-8, which led to 27 points for BU.
The Dragons led in almost every other statistical category, as they out-rebounded BU, with 46 to the Bucs 32, went 78 percent from the line (BU went 67 percent) and shot 42 percent overall, five percent higher than their opponent.
Meghan Rettke tallied her fifth double-double of the season, as she had 18 points and 10 rebounds, all of her boards coming on defense.

Angie Jetvig and
Alison Nash-Gerlach also put up double figures with 12, 11 and 10 points, respectively.
Brittany Mayclin also put in some numbers on the boards, grabbing eight and also scored three.
MSUM moves to 8-2 overall. They will face Nova Southeastern (Fla.) in their second game of the Cruizin Classic on Saturday at 5 p.m. (CST).
