Nash-Gerlach led the Dragons with 18 points and 11 rebounds
WAYNE, Neb. - After taking a big win over the Augustana Vikings on Saturday afternoon, the Minnesota State University Moorhead Dragons were unable to complete the NSIC weekend sweep as they suffered a 74-57 loss to the Wayne State Wildcats on Sunday.

The Wildcats may have had just one less turnover than the Dragons, which have been MSUM's achilles heel in losses this season, but WSC was able to score more points off of turnovers tallying 28 to the Dragons 18. WSC also hit more baskets as they shot 47 percent from the field to the Dragons 31.

WSC had four players in double figures in scoring, while the Dragons had two. Alison Nash-Gerlach scored 18 points, on her way to her second double-double in two nights, grabbing 11 boards. Brittany Mayclin had her third consecutive game where she has posted double figures, with ten points in the game she also had four rebounds.

The Dragons 57 points were the lowest total scored by the team in a game this year, the prior lowest of 63 was in their loss to Barry (Fla.) that was played in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. The team's overall record moves to 11-4 and 5-3 in the NSIC. The Wildcats move to 11-3 overall and 4-3 in the NSIC.

MSUM will host Minnesota-Crookston on Saturday, Jan. 16 at 2 p.m. in Alex Nemzek Hall.
