MOORHEAD, Minn. – The Minnesota State University Moorhead Dragons enter the final weekend series of the season with a pair of NSIC matchups against the Winona State Warriors, ranked third in the North Central Region, and the Upper Iowa Peacocks.

The Warriors come into Moorhead with a 12-3-1 record (9-1-1 NSIC) as they look to secure first place in the NSIC with a strong weekend. The Dragons head into the weekend at 1-13-1 (1-9-1 NSIC) looking to slow the momentum of the Warriors and halt their progress towards securing a top spot.

The Peacocks (8-6-2, 4-5-2 NSIC) are battling for eighth place in the NSIC. Currently the Peacocks hold the ninth spot, just one point behind the Northern State (S.D.) Wolves. The Dragons will look to stop NSIC leading scorer Liz Kaluzinski, who tops the conference with 11 goals.

The Dragons will look to use their defense along with timely attacks on offense to slow the momentum of the Warriors. The Dragons' goalkeepers currently rank third in the conference with 109 saves that will play a factor in the game against the Warriors whose defense top the conference in goals against average with 0.55.

The Dragons will face the Warriors on Saturday starting at 1 p.m. at Alex Nemzek Soccer Field on the MSUM campus. The Dragons will then shift their focus to the Peacocks as they look to knock their Upper Iowa foes out of playoff contention when they face them on Sunday at 1 p.m.

Sundays contest will be the final home game for the Dragons and will be the sight for Senior Day. Rollie Bulock's staff will honor the dedicated seniors for their impact on Dragons Athletics. The seniors include goalkeeper Alison Wanner, Alison Ramaeker, Laura Kohtala, Aimee Laurencelle, Tricia Vanyo, Katelin Roos, Rachel Thompson, Katherine Adams and Kirsten Jacobse.
