MOORHEAD, Minn. – After putting an end to their losing skid, the Minnesota State University Moorhead Dragons soccer team (0-9-1, 0-5-1 NSIC) has a renewed sense of confidence and determination. Those qualities now have a perfect opportunity to materialize into a win as the team takes on the winless Golden Eagles of Minnesota Crookston (0-9-2, 0-6 NSIC) this Saturday at 1 p.m.
Up to this point in the season, the Golden Eagles have been outscored by an NSIC-leading 32 goal margin through 11 games. Recently, the Golden Eagles dropped a 3-1 game to Northern State on Sunday after losing a 4-1 contest to the University of Mary Marauders. The Dragons tied the Marauders the next day 2-2.

Aimee Laurencelle each lead their respective clubs with two goals and four points. As for the goalkeepers, the Golden Eagles' Anna Ogaard has posted a 2.85 goals against average with a .764 save percentage. The Dragons leading goalkeeper so far has been senior
Alison Wanner with her 1.69 goals against average and a .783 save percentage, which was helped by her 16 save effort last Sunday.
The game will kick off at 1 p.m. at the Minnesota-Crookston soccer field on Saturday.
