FARGO, N.D. - The Minnesota State University Moorhead Dragons tennis team swept their conference opponents this past weekend as they hosted Bemidji State and Minnesota Crookston at Courts Plus.
The Dragons opened the weekend by taking two of the three doubles matches against the Beavers. The duo o
Kayla Huether and
Alyse Grelson at No. 1 doubles topped their opponents 8-6, while
Kathryn Neubauer and
Emily Delaney swiftly took care of the No. 2 doubles slot as they won 8-3.
Huether, Neubauer, Grelson,
Ashley Taborsky and Susan Grelson all won their singles matches at No. 1, 2, 4, 5 and 6, respectively.
On Saturday, the Dragons shut-out the Golden Eagles as they won 9-0. Both Delany and Grelson held their opponents scoreless as they took the No. 3 and No. 4 singles matches 6-0, 6-0.
The Dragons will travel to Aberdeen, S.D. to face Northern State to wrap up league play on the 14th before coming back to Moorhead, Minn., to face Concordia College in the regular season closer.
