DULUTH, Minn. - The Minnesota State University Moorhead Dragons soccer team looked to jump out early against the Minnesota-Duluth Bulldogs and split the weekend set with the Bulldogs and the Beavers of Bemidji State. However, it was the Bulldogs who came out firing and set the Dragons home by a final of 6-0.
The Bulldogs jumped out early on the Dragons, scoring a goal just 49 seconds into the game from Dani Potter. Up 2-0, Potter struck again with her second goal of the game at the 32:18 mark of the first half to put the Bulldogs up by three. A late goal capped off a 5-0 first half for the Bulldogs who tallied one more in the second half to secure the win 6-0.
The Bulldogs improve to 2-2-2 on the year (2-0 NSIC) while the Dragons fall to 0-6 (0-2 NSIC). The Dragons return to Moorhead to take on the Golden Bears of Concordia-St. Paul on Saturday at 1 p.m.
