MOORHEAD, Minn. – Sharp shooting led the Minnesota State University Moorhead Dragon men's basketball team to top the Minnesota Crookston Golden Eagles Saturday evening at Alex Nemzek Fieldhouse, 88-69.
The Dragons shot a hot 54 percent for the game, with four players in double figures in points.
Tarell Clark led the charge for the Dragons hitting 9-of-14 shots from the field, scoring 23 points in the game. He also had four assists and seven rebounds.

Charlie Chapman and
Alex Novak each scored in double digits, with 21, 16 and 14 points, respectively. Novak had a double-double in the game as he had 13 rebounds. He also had two blocks and two assists.
The Dragons took off the in the first half as they jumped to an eight point lead in the first five and half minutes, 14-6.
After the Golden Eagles cut the lead to five points at the 11:02 mark, the Dragons went on a 19-2 run to go up by 22 with 6:06 left in the first half. Clark tallied 14 of his points in the first half, bringing the Dragons to a 51-23 lead at halftime.
In the second half, the Golden Eagles cut the Dragons lead to nine with 11:12 left to play but could not continue to cut the lead any further as the Dragons went up by as much as 20 points again before the buzzer sounded.
The Dragons picked up their 11th win of the season, moving their overall record to 11-7 and 8-6 in the league. They sit in sixth in the NSIC.
MSUM will go on the road next weekend, traveling to Northern State (S.D.) and U-Mary (N.D.) on Friday and Saturday. Both games are scheduled to tip-off at 8 p.m.
