Box Score MOORHEAD, Minn. - The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference named Minnesota State Moorhead football's strong saftey
Tyler Brody as the Defensive Player of the Week following a 19 tackle performance Saturday against Bemidji State.
The tackle total by the 6-1, 205-pound junior from Rochester, Minn. led all defenders in the game except former NSIC player of the week
Jeff Schuette. Brody also recorded a fumble recovery, his second on the season, and broke up one pass in a 35-10 loss to the Beavers on Saturday.
The 19 tackle performance, six unassisted, would have been the highest since teammate Schuette recorded 16 in the homecoming victory against the University of Minnesota Crookston on August 24, but Schuette recorded one more tackle than Brody against Bemidji State. The defensive duo has combined for 70 tackles in the last two games.
Brody and the Dragons football team travel to Sioux Falls, S.D. to take on Augustana for a 1 p.m. kick-off on Saturday.
