Box Score MOORHEAD, Minn. - Reigning NCAA Division II National Champion Minnesota Duluth celebrated Hall of Fame weekend with a 49-21 victory over touring Minnesota State Moorhead on Saturday night, but not without some anxious moments.
The Bulldogs finally put some distance between themselves and the Dragons late in the fourth quarter to hike their overall record to 4-1 and their Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference mark to 3-1. MSU Moorhead fell to 2-3 overall and 1-3 in the NSIC.
Kevin Koch tormented the 'Dogs all night, completing 24 of 33 passes for a career high 279 yards and three touchdowns while
Kendall Hendon had eight catches for 135 yards and one touchdown.
Alex Leach and
Shawn Marlowe had TD receptions as well.
"It's not a moral victory, but we grew as a team tonight," said offensive coordinator
Rob Hunt.
MSU Moorhead returns to Alex Nemzek Stadium next Saturday to host Southwest Minnesota State at 1 p.m.
