DRAGON WOMEN
The Dragon women are coming off a 64-60 win against the University of Minnesota-Crookston at home to complete the sweep of the Golden Eagles on the season.

Helping the winning effort was Brittany Mayclin's 15 point performance and a big rebounding night from Morgan Zabel (13 rebs.) and Betsy Dickson (10 rebs.).

The Dragon women are led in scoring by Angie Jetvig's 18.0 points per game, and Zabel ranks second on the team with 8.3 points per game.  Jetvig is also pulling down 8.4 rebounds per game.

The Dragons are currently sitting at 10-8 overall this season and 7-7 in NSIC play.

DRAGON MEN
The Dragon men are also coming off a season sweep of the University of Minnesota-Crookston with an 88-69 victory on Jan. 29 in Nemzek Fieldhouse.

Both Tarell Clark and DJ Hamilton posted over 20 points in the win with Clark adding 23 points and Hamilton with 21 points.  Alex Novak notched a double-double as well with 14 points and 13 rebounds.

The Dragons are currently 11-7 overall and 8-6 in NSIC action this season.

NORTHERN STATE UNIVERSITY WOLVES
Northern State women's basketball team is currently 14-5 overall this season and 10-4 in NISC play.  They are currently rolling on a seven game win streak after defeating Bemidji State 82-64, and UM-Duluth 53-51 last weekend.

The victory over Bemidji State was assisted by the Wolves Jodi Reinschmidt's 23 point performance.  Reinschmidt is currently averaging 15.8 points per game and had a career night against UM-Crookston on Jan. 8, posting 38 points.

Also playing well for the Wolves is Mikayla Barondeau who is averaging 10.7 points per game and 8.6 rebounds per game.

The Northern State men are currently 9-10 overall and 5-10 in NSIC play.  They are coming off a weekend sweep of UM-Duluth and Bemidji State on the road.  The defeated the Bulldogs 72-61 on the shoulders of a 23 point night from Collin Pryor.  Pryor was also the Wolves leading scorer with 19 points in the narrow, 84-82 win over the Beavers last Saturday night.  Pryor is also averaging a solid 8.6 rebounds per game as well.

Also playing well for the Wolves men is Dustin Tetzlaff who is averaging 12.3 points per game and 7.4 rebounds per game.

The Series
On Jan. 9 the Dragon women suffered a 46-60 loss to the Wolves, which is also the largest point margin the Dragons have fell by this season.   The win pushed the all-time series between the two teams to 39-19 in favor of Northern State.

On Jan. 9, the Dragon men were able to gain a narrow victory over the Northern State men at home behind a 19 point performance from Jake Driscoll, 72-71.  The win moved the all-time series between the two teams to 60-30 in favor of the Wolves.

UNIVERSITY OF MARY MAURADERS

The Marauder women are 10-9 overall this season and 7-8 in NSIC play.  The Marauder women are coming off a split weekend consisting of a 69-52 win against Bemidji State and a 70-72 loss to UM-Duluth.

The Marauder women are led in scoring by McKenzie Foster who is averaging 10.6 points per game.  She is coming off a breakout weekend, posting 22 points against the Beavers and 23 points against the Bulldogs.  Foster averages only 17.3 minutes per game and hasn't started one contest this season, but continues to produce for the U-Mary women.

The Marauders men are 15-4 and are 11-4 in NSIC play, only suffering one loss at home this season against Concordia, St. Paul on Dec. 4, 2010.  They are currently on an eight-game win streak, including wins over Bemidji State and UM-Duluth last weekend.

Last weekend included 20 point performances from both Eric Erdmann and the NSIC's leading scorer Anthony Moody in the Marauder win over Bemidji State, 71-60.  Moody also added 21 points in the 82-72 victory over UM-Duluth.

The Series
The Dragon women faced the Marauders on Jan. 8 and took a 71-63 victory behind an 18 point performance from Marisa Yernatich.  The Marauders' Laura Petersen posted 22 points, but it wasn't enough to overcome the balanced scoring of the Dragons.

The Dragon women lead the series against U-Mary 19-7 all-time after last month's victory.

The Dragon men faced the Marauders on Jan. 8 as well, but suffered a 57-72 loss after NSIC leading scorer Anthony Moody posted 27 points for the U-Mary men.  Leading all scorers for the Dragons that night was Clark with 14 points and 10 rebounds, but the loss would go down as the second lowest offensive output for the Dragons this season.

The win puts the Marauders up one game over the Dragons all-time, 8-7.
