MOORHEAD, Minn. - The Minnesota State University Moorhead tennis team finished the 2011 regular season on Tuesday evening as they travelled across town to face the Concordia Cobbers. The Dragons suffered the loss, 7-2.
Jenna Miller picked up the first match point for the Dragons, as she went into extra sets with CC's Chelsie McGraw at No.5 singles. Miller lost he first set, 2-6, but came back to win the second set 6-2. She took the extra set 10-8.
Jessica Winey had a similar story as she took a first set loss but came back to win the match in the extra set. The score of her match was 2-6, 6-4, 10-6.
The Dragons will next compete at the NSIC Tournament, when they will face Winona State at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday in St. Paul, Minn.
