WINONA, Minn. – The Minnesota State University Moorhead Dragons followed up a sweep of Upper Iowa with a doubleheader against Winona State Sunday. The Warriors' pitching was at its best as they took both games by finals of 13-0 and 9-0.

The Warriors made a short day of the doubleheader, jumping out to an early three-run lead in the first. In the third, the Warriors tacked on six more runs on seven hits while Lund threw a three-hit shutout.

In the second game it was more of the same for the Warriors. The Warriors blasted out of the gate with 10 runs in the first inning, kick started by a three-run homerun by Wachholder. Amanda Moore led the Dragons offensively, going 2-4 on the day.

The Dragons drop their NSIC record to 2-2 and fall to 10-7 overall. The Warriors improve to 20-3 and keep their NSIC record perfect at 4-0. The Dragons will stay on the road when they travel to Minnesota-Duluth to play two days of doubleheaders against the Bulldogs in both conference, and non-conference action.

The April 5 games are scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. and the April 6 games are scheduled to start at 1 p.m.
