Women's Soccer to Open Conference Play at Home

MOORHEAD, Minn. - The Minnesota State University Moorhead women's soccer team hopes to build on their undefeated 4-0 recored as conference play begins at home Saturday against University of Minnesota Duluth and Sunday against Bemidji State.

Over the past weekend, the Dragons continued to add wins to their undefeated record by defeating the Jimmies of Jamestown College (N.D.) 4-0 and the Defenders of Dordt College (Iowa) 1-0. 

A diversity of players were responsible for scoring in the two games including Abby Kettler, Carly Lengstorf, Alenjandra Vicuna, Jordyn Wallenborn and Ashley Swanson

Carole Braschayko and Victoria Hoffman totaled six saves as they each served goalkeeper duties.

The last time MSU Moorhead and UM Duluth met in 2010, the Bulldogs took the game at their home 6-0.  The Dragons will take on the Bulldogs Saturday at 1 p.m.

Sunday at home the Dragons will face the Beavers of Bemidji State at 1 p.m.  The Beavers won the last matchup 3-0 in 2010  in Bemidji.

Admission to both games are free.
