Undefeated Dragons Soccer Saved by Two Goals in Five Minutes

Box Score MOORHEAD, Minn. - Late heorics by Jordyn Wallenborn led the Dragons women's soccer to another win against the Bulldogs Saturday at home.

Minnesota State University Moorhead improved their undefeated 4-0 record by beating conference opponent University of Minnesota Duluth.  A goal was scored by Jordyn Wallenborn in the 87th minute to tie the game at one.  Two minutes into overtime, Wallenborn scored another goal, her fourth of the season, to give the Dragons their fifth win of the season.  Amanda Wurdeman was responsible for the assist on the overtime goal.

The Bulldogs took an early lead by scoring a goal in the 15th minute of play.  Goalkeeper Victoria Hoffman allowed just the one goal while saving six shots, earning her third win.

The Dragons tallied 16 shots with eight on goal.  The Bulldogs totaled 10 shots with seven on goal.  It was a physical contest as the two teams totaled for 13 fouls.

MSU Moorhead will take on Bemidji State tomorrow at 1 p.m. in Moorhead, Minn.
