MOORHEAD, Minn. -- Two first-half goals proved to be the difference as St. Cloud State topped the Minnesota State University Moorhead women's soccer team, 2-0, in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference action Saturday in Moorhead, Minn.
The Dragons fell to 4-10-1 overall and 3-8-1 in the NSIC, while the Huskies improved to 8-6-1 overall and 7-5-0 in the league.
Goals by Becca Hodous and Jess Rohana proved to be the difference in the first half as the Huskies built a 2-0 advantage.
Junior goalkeeper
Carole Braschayko had five saves in net for MSUM, which was outshot 16-12 in the game.
Sophomore
Erin Nyberg led the Dragons with five shots, including two on goal, while senior
Holly Gillund had two shots.
MSUM hosts Minnesota-Duluth on Sunday at 1 p.m. to wrap up the weekend.
