Rollie Bulock and the Minnesota State University Moorhad soccer women begin a four-game road-trip this weekend in Northern Sun play at Bemidji, Minn., and Crookston, Minn. The Dragons will face a tough Bemidji State team, 7-2-1 overall, Saturday and Minnesota, Crookston, 1-8-1 overall, on Sunday.
The Dragons/Beavers all-time series stands at 11-9-1, in favor of MSUM. Saturday's game will be the 23rd matchup between the two schools. Sunday's match will be the 16th all-time game. The Dragons hold the commanding lead in the series, 12-3.
The Dragons, 2-7-1, lost a tough two-overtime battle to Upper Iowa and a 1-5 match against Winona State, second in the NSIC. MSUM fell to 2-4-0 at home this season.
Three Dragons scored their first goals of the season during the weekend.
Carly Lengstorf and
Anna Hulteng both converted a goal during the Dragons-Peacocks duel. Lengstorf scored the game-tying goal at the 33-minute mark ahead of Hulteng's go-ahead score at the 69-minute mark. The Peacocks scored the tying goal 15 minutes later to send the game into overtime. It would be in the second overtime that UIU scored the game-winner, 1 minute and 28 seconds into extra time, taking the conference match, 3-2.
The 2011 season-leading goal-scorer,
Amanda Wurdeman, scored a goal during the Dragons-Warriors match. The lone MSUM goal came following three Warriors goals at the 60-minute mark. WSU scored two goals following Wurdeman's to claim the 5-1 win.

Rollie Bulock, in his 13th season as Dragons head coach, is 102-168-18 overall with the team.

Bemidji State Beavers
The Beavers, 7-2-1 overall and 5-1-1 in the NSIC, are on a four-game winning streak while outscoring opponents 9-2 during the span. BSU lastly traveled to Sioux Falls, S.D., and Marshall, Minn., scoring three goals and allowing one. BSU first won, 2-1, against the University of Sioux Falls on Saturday. The Beavers then followed up by shutting out the Mustangs of Southwest Minnesota State, 1-0. Mary O'Brien leads the Beavers in goals scored with six while Tiffany VanHaaften leads in assists with five. Goalkeepers Sonja Barr and Brittany Tietz have been splitting time as the starter while Barr has 44 saves compared to Tietz's 20. Barr is undefeated at 5-0-1 in the net while Tietz is 2-2-0. Head coach Jim Stone has recorded an overall record of 75-59-21 in his ten seasons with the Beavers.
Minnesota, Crookston Golden Eagles
The Golden Eagles, 1-8-1 overall and 1-5-1 in the NSIC, earned their lone win of the season most recently against the University of Sioux Falls, 3-2. The day before, UMC was shutout by SMSU, 4-0. Junior Rachel Halligan leads the Golden Eagles in goals scored with three while senior Megan Flynn leads in assists with four. Ashleigh Erdmann and Drew Underdahl split time starting in the net while Erdmann has 30 saves compared to Underdahl's 35. Erdmann is 1-2-1 with one shutout in the net while Underdahl is 0-5-0. Head coach Joe Alianiello is 1-8-1 in his first season with the Golden Eagles.
