ABERDEEN, S.D. - - The Minnesota State University Moorhead women's soccer team battled to a 1-1 double overtime tie with Northern State in the NSIC opener for both teams late Saturday night in Aberdeen, S.D. Both teams are 1-2-1 overall and 0-0-1 in the NSIC.
Sophomore
Erin Nyberg scored her team-best second goal of the season to give the Dragons a 1-0 lead 15:21 into the contest, with an assist from freshman
Sienna Rebollozo. The game stayed that way until the 83rd minute when Rachel Goslinga scored for Northern to tie the game at 1-1.
Neither team was able to score in either of the overtime frames as the game ended in a 1-1 tie.

Carole Braschayko had five saves in net in the contest. Northern held a 20-17 edge in shots, although MSUM had a 7-2 edge in the two overtime frames. Nyberg led MSUM with five shots, including one on goal, while junior

MSUM is back in action at noon on Saturday, Sept. 15 at home against Wayne State (Neb.).
