MOORHEAD, Minn. --  The Minnesota State University Moorhead women's soccer team held a 1-0 lead with 13 minutes left, but Bemidji State rallied with two unanswered goals to take a 2-1 overtime win over the Dragons Sunday at the MSUM Soccer Field in Moorhead, Minn.

The Dragons continued to have tough luck in one-goal games as it was the seventh one-goal loss of 2013. Three have come in overtime.

Junior Erin Nyberg scored her team-leading third goal of the season for MSUM, while freshman Ashley Germann added the first assist of her collegiate career.

Senior Carole Braschayko had an excellent game in goal for MSUM with 15 saves, including several tough saves when Bemidji State was applying pressure.

The Dragons took a 1-0 lead in the 55th minute when Nyberg scored off of an assist Germann.

That lead stood until Bemidji State's Tiffany VanHaaften scored in the 79th minute to tie the game at 1-1. The game stayed that way until the overtime frame, when Bemidji State's Samantha Lumberg scored in the 97th minute to give the Beavers a one-goal win.

Nyberg had three shots on goal for MSUM. Freshman Jessica Johnson added four shots, including one on goal.

MSUM continues its four-game homestand on Saturday, Oct. 19 against nationally-ranked Southwest Minnesota State. The game begins at 1 p.m. at the MSUM Soccer Field.
