MSUM Women's Soccer Loses 4-1 Game to St. Cloud State

ST. CLOUD, Minn. -- St. Cloud State built a 3-0 halftime lead and went on to beat Minnesota State University Moorhead, 4-1, in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference women's soccer Sunday in St. Cloud, Minn.

Sophomore Ashley Leintz had 10 saves for the Dragons, who were outshot 25-12 in the contest.

MSUM was down 3-0 when junior Stephanie Lindo scored in the 64th minute to cut the lead to 3-1.  It was Lindo's second goal of 2013.

Haley Greving scored for St. Cloud State less than 10 minutes later to push the lead back to three goals and the Dragons were unable to close the gap further.

Junior Erin Nyberg led MSUM with five shots, including two on goal. Lindo had four shots with a team-best three on goal. Sophomore Molly Strong added a shot on goal.

The Dragons wrap up the 2013 season this week with a pair of games. MSUM will play at Mary on Friday at 3 p.m. and conclude the year at home against Minot State at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
