MOORHEAD, Minn. -- A big 24-5 run to close the first half provided to be decisive as the Minnesota State University Moorhead men's basketball team rolled to a 102-55 win over crosstown rival Concordia College in nonconference action Friday night at Nemzek Fieldhouse.
MSUM (3-0) never trailed in the game, which was the 183rd meeting all-time between the two teams.
All 13 Dragon players who saw playing time scored in the game, led by sophomore forward
Ben Figini with a career-high 16 points. Junior
Malik Wood, making his Dragon debut, had 12 points, three steals and three assists, while junior forward
Urbane Bingham and sophomore guard
Tyler Vaughan had 11 points each. Redshirt freshman
Matt Nelson had eight rebounds to go with seven points. Senior guard
Tarell Clark led with four assists.
MSUM shot 59.3 percent (35-of-59) while holding the Cobbers to 33.3 percent shooting (21-of-63). The Dragons outrebounded the Cobbers 41-30 and also hit 24-of-29 free throws.
Leading 25-20 with 7:42 left in the first half, MSUM took control with a 24-5 run to close the half to take a 49-25 lead into halftime. Seven different Dragons scored during that run, led by Bingham with six points, Nelson with five and Wood with four.
All 10 Dragon players who saw time in the first half scored, led by Bingham with nine points, Figini with eight and Nelson with seven. MSUM shot a blistering 60 percent (18-of-30) in the first half, compared to 34.4 percent (11-of-32) for the Cobbers.
The lead continued to steadily grow in the second half for the Dragons as they outscored the Cobbers 53-30 over the final 20 minutes.

MSUM wraps up nonconference play on Tuesday at home against the University of Jamestown. Game time is 7 p.m. at Alex Nemzek Fieldhouse.
