MOORHEAD, Minn. -- The Minnesota State University Moorhead women's tennis team is back in action on Thursday when it will face Minnesota State, Mankato at noon at Gold's Gym in Sartell, Minn.
MSUM (2-7, 2-6 NSIC) lost a pair of NSIC matches at home last weekend, losing to Southwest Minnesota State (6-3) and Sioux Falls (8-1).
Freshman
Morgan Smith went 2-0 on the day in singles competition to lead the Dragons. Smith and junior Jamie LaCoursiere earned singles wins in the loss to SMSU, while sophomore
Jenna Galstad and LaCoursiere teamed up for a win at No. 2 doubles.
Morgan Smith had the Dragons' lone win against Sioux Falls, at No. 2 singles.

Ashley Wood is 3-6 in singles. The tandem of
Morgan Smith and
Cassie Smith is 5-4 at doubles for MSUM.
Minnesota State is 7-7 overall and 6-2 in conference matches. The Mavericks are led by Shealyn Bakke and Alexis Haakedahl, who are each 9-7 in singles competition. The tandem of Kelly Lechowski and Hailey Robb is 6-4 in doubles play, including 6-1 in doubles competition.
The Dragons' next home competition is set for April 4 against Winona State and Augustana.
