MOORHEAD, Minn. -- The Minnesota State University Moorhead softball team will look to get back on the winning track this week with three Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference doubleheaders, starting Thursday at St. Cloud State. MSUM will also play twinbills at Concordia-St. Paul (Saturday) and Minnesota State (Sunday) to wrap up the weekend.

The doubleheader against St. Cloud State was originally scheduled to be played in Moorhead but was moved because of snow and cold conditions in the Fargo-Moorhead area. MSUM will be the home team in both of those games.

The doubleheader at Concordia begins at 1 p.m. on Saturday, while the doubleheader at Mankato begins at noon on Sunday.

About MSUM
The Dragons were swept in three doubleheaders last weekend, losing to Northern State (3-0 and 4-3), Wayne State (4-0 and 7-0) and Augustana (14-3 and 8-5).

Sophomore Mollie Annen had a solid week at the plate for MSUM. In six games, Annen hit .385 in 13 at-bats with a double. She had a .462 slugging percentage and a .500 on base percentage, and also had a sacrifice hit. She reached base twice by walks and one after being hit a pitch. Sophomore Amanda Lynch had a good week at the plate for MSUM. She started three games and hit .400 with a double and an RBI. She also had a stolen base.

Sophomore Moriah Bruns leads MSUM with a .306 average. She has three doubles, two triples and two homers along with a team-best nine RBI. Senior Amanda Moore is hitting .246 with a homer and seven RBI, while sophomore Brittany York is hitting .246 with a homer and five RBI.  As a team, MSUM is hitting .219 with six homers and 42 RBI.

On the mound, freshman Katie Edison leads with a 3.41 ERA, while freshman Morgan Nybo has a team-best two wins.

Kelsey Fehl is in her third season as MSUM's head coach.

About St. Cloud State
St. Cloud State is 15-14 overall and 2-2 in the NSIC. The Huskies lost two NSIC games on March 28, losing to Minnesota-Duluth, 1-0 and 9-4. Their doubleheaders at Upper Iowa and Winona State were canceled on March 29 and 30 respectively.

Mikayla Hogan is hitting .323 with seven homers and 22 RBI for St. Cloud State, while Kelsie Fitch is hitting .308. Taylor Thomas is hitting .306 with five homers and 11 RBI for the Huskies, who are hitting .250 as a team.

On the mound, Kelly Franks is 11-7 with a  1.41 ERA in 124.1 innings. She has an impressive 154 strikeouts.

Paula U'Ren is in her 15th season as SCSU's head coach with a record of 508-302 at the school.

About Concordia
Concordia-St. Paul is 18-6 overall and 5-1 in the NSIC. The Golden Bears have won five in a row, including doubleheader sweeps of Bemidji State and Minnesota-Crookston last weekend.

Brynn Larsen leads Concordia with a .477 average; she has seven doubles, three homers and 20 RBI. Alicia Meiser is hitting .423 with eight RBI for the Golden Bears, who are hitting .314 as a team. Ashley Kluever is 10-4 with a 2.15 ERA on the mound for Concordia. She has 101 strikeouts in 75 innings.

Bob Bartel is in his ninth season as Concordia's head coach with a record of 292-175.

About Minnesota State
The Mavericks are 20-6 overall and 5-1 in the NSIC. They have won four in a row and eight of nine, including sweeps of Bemidji State and Minnesota-Crookston last weekend.

Lindsay Erickson is hitting .464 with four homers and 26 RBI to lead Mankato, while Tatum Klein is hitting .383 with eight RBI. As a team, Mankato is hitting .320 with 20 homers and 147 RBI in 26 games. On the mound, Courtney McKelvogue is 11-4 with a 1.74 ERA in 88.1 innings.

Lori Meyer is in her 29th year as Minnesota State's head coach with a record of 947-583-3 at the school.
