MOORHEAD, Minn. -- The Minnesota State University Moorhead women's tennis team came up short against two of the top teams in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference on Saturday, falling to Augustana (9-0) and Winona State (9-0) in action at Courts Plus in Fargo, N.D.
MSUM fell to 2-10 overall and 2-9 in the NSIC with the losses. Augustana, which shares the NSIC lead with Winona State, improved to 15-2 overall and 10-0 in the league, while Winona State improved to 13-4 overall and 8-0 in the NSIC.

Oliver Summers said. "It's good for our young team to play them because now they know the level I'm striving for for MSUM tennis."
Against Augustana, MSUM was unable to win a set. The closest match was at No. 2 singles, where freshman
Morgan Smith lost to Michelle Wadas, 6-3, 6-0.
In the Winona State match, the Warriors also swept all singles matches in straight sets. The closest singles match was at No. 5, where junior
Kaitlin McNary lost to Winona's Brittney Freund, 6-0, 6-2. In doubles,

Ashley Wood lost to Freund and Laura Lindstrand, 8-2 at the No. 3 slot.
MSUM will face Minnesota-Crookston on Friday, April 12 in Grand Forks, N.D.
