Dragon Women's Soccer to Battle Augustana and Wayne State in NSIC Road Contests

MOORHEAD, Minn. -- The Minnesota State University Moorhead women's soccer team takes to the road this weekend for a pair of Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference games. The Dragons will play at Augustana for an 11 a.m. contest on Saturday in Sioux Falls, S.D., and wrap up the weekend at Wayne State for a 1 p.m. game on Sunday in Wayne, Neb.

MSUM is off to an 0-3 start on the season, although two of the losses have come by one goal in double overtime. The Dragons opened NSIC play on Sunday with a 1-0 double-overtime home loss to Northern State. Sophomore goalkeeper Ashley Leintz had 15 saves in net for MSUM, which started five true freshmen and was missing six players because of injury.

Junior Stephanie Lindo has a goal and two points for MSUM, while freshman Jessica Johnson has an assist. Johnson, Lindo and junior Erin Nyberg have eight shots each, with Johnson leading with five shots on goal.

Leintz leads MSUM with 23 saves and a 1.26 goals allowed average. Senior Carole Braschayko has 12 saves.

Rollie Bulock is in his 16th season as MSUM's head coach with a record of 91-156-14 at the school.

About Augustana
Augustana is 3-1 overall and 1-0 in the NSIC. The Vikings have won three straight games, including a 4-1 victory over Wayne State in their NSIC opener on Sunday. Annie Thoresen leads Augustana with four goals and eight points, while Maren Werth has two goals and four points. Katie Hurd and Aleisha Oehlerking share the team lead with two assists apiece. Ashley Limmer is 3-1 in net with a 0.94 goals allowed average for the Vikings. Brandon Barkus is in eighth season as Augustana's head coach with a record of 60-63-14 at the school.

About Wayne State
Wayne State is 0-4 and 0-1 in the NSIC. The Wildcats lost to Augustana, 4-1 in their NSIC opener on Sunday in Wayne, Neb.  Macy Hagen has scored both goals for the Wildcats this season, while Kelsey Engstrom and Josie Brown each have an assist. Kylie Comba has a 0-4 record with a 4.50 goals allowed average this season. Tom Cliff is in his first season as Wayne State's head coach with a record of 0-4 at the school.
