Box Score MOORHEAD, Minn. -- The Minnesota State University Moorhead women's soccer team was within 1-0 at halftime but No. 6-ranked Minnesota State, Mankato pulled away in the second half in a 5-0 win over the Dragons in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference action Saturday in Moorhead, Minn.
Korey Kronforst and Maddy Smith each scored two goals for the Mavericks (6-1, 4-0 NSIC).
The injury-depleted Dragons finished with five shots in the game, led by sophomore
Kelsey Schatz and freshman
Jessica Johnson with two each. Freshman
Gabrielle Bjorge had a shot on goal.
Senior goalkeeper
Carole Braschayko had 10 saves for the Dragons.
MSUM is back in action on Sunday at home against Concordia-St. Paul. The match begins at 1 p.m.
Note: Former Dragon soccer standout Tracy (Sibell) Gould was recognized at halftime of Saturday's game. She was inducted into the Dragon Hall of Fame on Friday night, becoming the first MSUM women's soccer player to do so.
