MSUM Women's Soccer Loses 3-0 to Beavers

BEMIDJI, Minn. – The Minnesota State University Moorhead women's soccer team battled to a 0-0 halftime tie, but Bemidji State scored three second-half goals to earn a 3-0 win over the Dragons in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference action Sunday in Bemidji, Minn.

MSUM fell to 3-10 overall and 2-9 in the NSIC with the loss, while Bemidji State improved to 7-6-1 overall and 6-4-1 in the league.

Junior goalkeeper Ashley Leintz had 12 saves in net for the Dragons, who were outshot 23-9 in the game. One of Bemidji State's goals came on a penalty kick.

Sophomore Jessica Johnson led MSUM with four shots. Seniors Stephanie Lindo, junior Lindsey Micheletti and freshman Danielle Tharaldson had shots on goal for MSUM.

The Dragons return to action on Saturday, Oct. 25 at Southwest Minnesota State.
