MOORHEAD, Minn. – The Minnesota State University Moorhead women's soccer team built a 2-0 lead, but Concordia-St. Paul scored three unanswered goals to edge the Dragons, 3-2, in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference action Sunday in St. Paul, Minn.
MSUM fell to 2-7 overall and 1-6 in the NSIC with the loss while Concordia-St. Paul improved to 3-5-1 overall and 3-3-1 in the NSIC.

Erin Nyberg scored goals for the Dragons, while freshman
Mackenzie Carlson had an assist. Junior goalkeeper
Ashley Leintz had six saves in net.
Concordia outshot the Dragons, 27-9, including 9-7 in shots on goal.
The Dragons took a 1-0 lead at the 23:38 mark when Greaney scored her first goal as a Dragon off of an assistant from Carlson. Less than 15 minutes later, Nyberg scored her first goal of the season, unassisted off of a rebound on a penalty kick to give the Dragons a 2-1 lead.
The Golden Bears scored less than two minutes later to cut the lead to 2-1, but MSUM still held a one-goal lead at halftime.
Taryn MacMillan scored back-to-back second half goals to give Concordia a 3-2 lead. The second goal came on a penalty kick. MSUM was unable to tie the game over the final 29 minutes as the Golden Bears held on for the win.
MSUM returns home on Saturday, Oct. 11 to face Winona State. Game time is noon at the MSUM Soccer Field.
