ABERDEEN, S.D. – Five players scored in double figures for the Minnesota State University Moorhead men's basketball team in a 75-55 rout of Northern State in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference action Saturday in Aberdeen, S.D.
Isaac Sevlie MSUM improved to 7-0 overall and 1-0 in the NSIC with the win, while Northern State fell to 6-1 overall and 0-1 in the league.

Isaac Sevlie led MSUM with 17 points, followed by junior guard
Tyler Vaughan at 14 points. Senior forward
Urbane Bingham had 11 points, while sophomore guard
Aaron Lien and senior guard
Jordan Riewer each had 10 points. Riewer had six assists while Vaughan had four. Junior guard
Ngijol Songolo had seven rebounds.
The Dragons had a 37-28 edge in rebounds, and shot 50 percent (26-of-52) from the floor. They also held Northern State to just 36.5 percent (19-of-52) shooting.
MSUM and Northern were tied at 16-16 eight minutes into the game before the Dragons opened up a nine-point lead thanks to an 11-2 run. Sevlie sparked the run with five points while Riewer and senior guard
Prescott Williams each buried threes.
Thanks to 13 first-half points from Sevlie, MSUM led 41-31 at halftime. The Dragons shot 55.6 percent (15-of-27) from the field in the first half.
The Dragons opened the second half on a 13-0 run over the first 3:35 to build a commanding 54-31 lead. Vaughan hit two 3-pointers during that run while Sevlie had four points. From there, MSUM led by a comfortable margin the rest of the way on its way to the road win.
Williams added seven points for MSUM, which was 10-of-18 (55.6 percent) from three-point range.
Next action for MSUM is the Dragons' home opener on Tuesday against Presentation College. Game time is 7 p.m. at Nemzek Fieldhouse.

Last year's squad began 9-0 before getting beat at Northern State, the 2011-2012 team started 11-0 before losing at the University of Mary, and the 2002-2003 Dragon outfit won its first seven in a row before losing at North Dakota State 70-66 on Dec. 14, 2002.
