MOORHEAD, Minn. -- Minnesota State University Moorhead men's basketball head coach Chad Walthall earned his 200th win of his career Tuesday night in the Dragons' 111-40 blowout victory over Presentation College.

Now in Walthall's fifth season at the helm of MSUM, he has complied 84 wins for the Dragons and has the second highest winning percentage (66.9 percent) of any MSUM coach. Walthall also coached at Loras College in Iowa from 2000-2007 where he earned 116 wins.
With the win, MSUM improves to 8-0 on the season.

Seven players scored in double digits for the Dragons, who never trailed in the game. Junior guard Ngijol Songolo led all scorers with 16 points. Senior Urbane Bingham led the team in rebounds with nine, while adding 13 points and four steals. Senior guard Jordan Riewer and freshman guard Tanner Kretchman both added six assists in the game.

With 12:01 left in the first half and the score 23-6 in favor of the Dragons, MSUM went on a 37-0 run to increase its lead to 54 points at 50-6. The Dragons scored 19 points off turnover in the half.

The lead was as large as 73 twice in the second half at 103-30 after a jumper from sophomore forward Matt Nelson and 111-38 after a Bingham layup. A jumper from Presentation in the final seconds closed the scoring out at 111-40.

The Dragons will resume Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference play on Friday when Minot State visits Nemzek Fieldhouse. Tipoff is scheduled for 8 p.m.

Steve d'Eustachio Stat of the Game: The NSIC has been archiving men's basketball statistics since the beginning of the 1998-1999 season, and since then, Presentation College has not beaten an NSIC team in 15 tries. The closest they have come to doing so, was a 71-69 home loss versus Southwest St. on Nov. 30, 1998. The Dragons other victory over the Saints during this stretch was a 93-64 win in Moorhead, on Dec. 16, 2007.
