MOORHEAD, Minn. -- The Minnesota State University Moorhead women's tennis team is back in action this weekend with a pair of Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference matches. The Dragons will face Mary at 5 p.m. on Saturday and then conclude the weekend with a match against Upper Iowa at 9 a.m. on Sunday.
Both matches will be held at Courts Plus in Fargo, N.D.
The Dragons are 2-1 overall and 2-0 in the NSIC. They are one of only four unbeaten teams in the league so far. In their last action on Feb. 8 and 9, the Dragons beat Minnesota Duluth (8-1) and Minnesota Crookston (7-2) to open the conference season.

Jessamy Jones is off to a strong start in singles for MSUM, posting a 3-0 mark at the No. 1 slot. Sophomore
Morgan Smith is 3-0 at No. 4 singles for the Dragons. Senior
Cortnei Chance and sophomore
Ashley Wood both have 2-1 marks in singles.

Oliver Summers is in his second year as MSUM's head coach.
About Mary: Mary is 2-1 overall and in the NSIC this season. The Marauders split last weekend at home, beating Minnesota State, Mankato, 5-4 before losing to Augustana, 8-1. Anastasia Bruss and Hallie Welk are each 2-1 in singles for Mary. Kate O'Connell and Hallie Welk have teamed up for a 3-0 doubles record for Mary.
About Upper Iowa: Upper Iowa is 4-2 overall and in the NSIC. The Peacocks have won three in a row, including wins over Bemidji State (7-2) and Minnesota Duluth (6-3) in Bemidji, Minn., last weekend. Three Upper Iowa players have 5-1 marks in singles: Saki Kawabata, Victoria Kulbokas and Iris Verweij. Kulbokas and Verweij have 5-1 marks in doubles as well.
