FARGO, N.D. -- The Minnesota State University Moorhead women's tennis team won five of six singles matches on its way to a 7-2 win over Minnesota Crookston in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference action Sunday morning in Moorhead, Minn.
MSUM improved to 2-1 overall and 2-0 in the NSIC with the win while Minnesota Crookston fell to 1-3 overall and in the NSIC.
The Dragons also won two of three doubles matches on their way to the win.
"It was another well-deserved win today," MSUM head coach
Oliver Summers said. "Even after the third day of competition in a row the team was firing on all cylinders. We'll enjoy these wins and continue to improve for our next matches in a couple of weeks."
At No. 2 doubles, sophomores

Morgan Smith teamed up for a strong 8-1 win over UMC's Holly Fletcher and Casey Paris. Freshman

Kaitlyn Emerson earned an 8-1 win over Sarah Muellner and Amanda Newman to give MSUM its second doubles win of the day.

Jessamy Jones improved to 3-0 on the year at No. 1 singles with a 6-1, 6-2 win over UMC's Katelyn Johnson. Senior
Cortnei Chance added a 6-2, 7-5 win over Fletcher at No. 3 singles for the Dragons.
