MOORHEAD, Minn. – The Minnesota State University Moorhead women's tennis team is back in action on Sunday when it plays at St. Cloud State. The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference match begins at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday in St. Cloud, Minn.
MSUM is 4-6 overall and 3-2 in the NSIC. The Dragons went 0-2 against a pair of strong nonconference foes in Florida earlier in the week.
Sophomore
Ashley Wood leads MSUM with a 7-3 singles mark, while freshman
Jessamy Jones is 5-5 and sophomore
Morgan Smith is 4-6.
In doubles,
Cassie Smith has a 5-4 mark to lead MSUM, while Wood and freshman
Rebecca Lukes are each 4-6.
Oliver Summers is in his season season as MSUM's head coach.
About St. Cloud State: The Huskies are 7-9 overall and 4-0 in the NSIC. They have lost three of four matches, although three losses came to Division I foes. Katie Kotschevar leads St. Cloud State with a 7-9 singles record while three players have 6-8 marks. Marilia Roque Diversi is 5-5 in doubles play while Tori Marlton at 6-7. Jerry Anderson is in his 17th season as St. Cloud State's head coach with a record of 156-88.
