had an outstanding week at the plate for MSUM, hitting .444 with four home runs, six RBI and five runs scored. Sophomore Kristen Nordby pitched a complete-game win over Mary while sophomore Morgan Nybo had a solid complete game performance in the win over Upper Iowa.

Junior center fielder Mollie Annen is hitting .291 with three doubles, a triple, two homers and six RBI for MSUM. York is hitting .291 with four doubles and team-highs of five homers and 14 RBI.  MSUM is hitting .226 as a team with 15 homers on the season.

On the mound, Nordby is 4-9 with a 3.40 ERA in 84.1 innings. Nybo leads with five wins and has a team-high 57 strikeouts.

Kelsey Fehl is in her fourth season as MSUM's head coach.

The Opponents:
About Minot State: The Beavers, who faced Concordia-St. Paul in a doubleheader on Monday (results not available when this release was written), entered the week with a 23-11 mark overall and 10-6 in the NSIC. They were swept by Minnesota State, Mankato by 13-3 and 8-5 scores on Sunday in Mankato, Minn. Through 34 games, Jen Dixon leads Minot State with a .365 average to go with nine homers and 32 RBI. Ali Cygan is hitting .348 with 24 RBI for the Beavers, who are hitting .304 as a team. On the mound, Mindy Lorimor was 16-6 with a 1.99 ERA in 137 innings for Minot State. Bill Triplett is in his seventh season as Minot State's head coach with a record of 218-90 at the school.

About Minnesota Crookston: The Golden Eagles are 3-24 overall and 1-13 in the NSIC. They are coming off of four losses on the road last weekend to Sioux Falls and Southwest Minnesota State.  
Josee Plante leads the Golden Eagles with a .268 average to go with two homers and seven RBI. Paige Schaust is hitting .261 for UMC, which is hitting .209 as a team. Schaust is the top pitcher for the Golden Eagles as she has posted a record of 3-9 with a 6.18 ERA in 67 innings. Ed Deugan is in his second season as Minnesota Crookston's head coach with a record of 6-62 at the school.

About Bemidji State: Bemidji State is 11-19 overall and 0-14 in the NSIC. The Beavers, who will face  St. Cloud State and Northern State on the road prior to facing MSUM, have lost 15 games in a row. Lyndsey Peterson leads Bemidji State with a .319 average to go with four homers and 18 RBI. Angie Roberts is hitting .284 with a team-high seven doubles for the Beavers, who hit .235 as a team. On the mound, Allison Roberts and Jessica Yost are each 3-5 with 5.09 and 5.35 ERAs, respectively.  Rick Supinski is in his third season as Bemidji State's head coach with a record of 29-95 at the school.

Dragons Ranked in NSIC
The Dragons are ranked in several individual categories in the NSIC:
--York leads the NSIC with 18 runners thrown out and  is ranked tied for 10th in home runs per game at (0.19). She also is tied for 17th in fielding percentage (.993).
--Nordby leads the league in innings per game (6.49), is ranked tied for eighth in fewest walks allowed with 24, ranked 14th in walks allowed per game (1.99)  and 16th in ERA at 3.40.
--Nybo is one of three NSIC pitchers not to allow a triple this season.
--freshman first baseman Lauren Meeker is 12th in defensive putouts with 195.
--junior shortstop Taylor Huss is tied for 11th with 62 assists.

Young Squad's Progress
The Dragons have no seniors on their active roster (senior Alexa D'Onofrio is out for the year with an injury). Having already eclipsed their win total from 2013, the young Dragons have shown growth on the field in 2014. MSUM has now split with five teams that swept the Dragons in 2013: Northern State, St. Cloud State, Concordia-St. Paul, Mary and Upper Iowa.

Schedule changes for MSUM
There have been changes to MSUM's upcoming schedule. The Dragons' doubleheader against Jamestown, which was scheduled for earlier this month, has been rescheduled for 3 p.m. on Monday, April 21 in Jamestown, N.D. The Dragons' doubleheader with Concordia-Moorhead, originally scheduled for has been canceled and will not be rescheduled.
