MINNETONKA, Minn.-- The Minnesota State University Moorhead women's tennis team saw its season come to an end on Saturday, as the Dragons fell to St. Cloud State, 5-0, in the first round of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference tournament at Lifetime Fitness Oakdale in Minnetonka, Minn.
MSUM, the tournament's No. 6 seed, finished the season 6-11, while No. 3-seeded St. Cloud State improved to 13-12.
The Huskies won all three doubles matches and won two matches in singles to secure the 5-0 win. The matches still in progress go unfinished once the overall match's outcome is decided.

Cassie Smith battled tough before falling 8-4 to SCSU's Rachel Zwiener and Gabbie Pung.
St. Cloud State won in straight sets at No. 2 singles and No. 6 singles to wrap up the win. Chance battled tough at No. 2 singles but lose to Maribell Siegfried, 7-5, 6-4.

The Dragons will lose just two seniors from their roster --
Kaitlin McNary and Chance.
"We battled hard," MSUM head coach
Oliver Summers said. "We were close in the remaining singles matches. Now the preseason starts for next year as we continue to build our Dragon dynasty."
