MOORHEAD, Minn. – Junior goalkeeper
Ashley Leintz had eight saves, but the Minnesota State University Moorhead women's soccer team came up short against St. Cloud State on Sunday, falling to the Huskies 1-0 in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference action in Moorhead, Minn.
MSUM fell to 1-4 overall and 0-3 in the NSIC with the loss while St. Cloud State improved to 3-3 overall and 2-1 in the league.
Leintz had six of her eight saves in the first half for the Dragons. The game was closely contested as both teams finished with 12 shots; St. Cloud State had nine shots on goal while MSUM had six.

Erin Nyberg had four shots, including two on goal for MSUM, while freshman
Mackenzie Carlson had three shots, including two on goal. Junior

Annika Greaney had shots on goal for the Dragons.
The game was tied at 0-0 for the first 62 minutes before St. Cloud State's Kara Espinosa scored to give the Huskies a 1-0 lead, one that would stand into the final horn.
MSUM continues its homestand on Saturday against Augustana. The game begins at noon at the MSUM Soccer Field.
