Live VideoLive StatsMOORHEAD, Minn. – The Minnesota State University Moorhead women's soccer team continues its five-game homestand this weekend. MSUM will play host to Southwest Minnesota State at 1 p.m. on Saturday and Sioux Falls at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
The Dragons are off to an 0-2 start on the homestand so far. MSUM fell to Minnesota Crookston, 3-2 and Bemidji State, 5-1 last weekend.
MSUM and SMSU will meet for a 24th time with the series tied at 10-10-3. The Mustangs have won the past two meetings, including a 2-1 win over the Dragons on Oct. 25, 2014. USF and MSUM will meet for a seventh time with the Dragons leading the series 4-2. The Cougars edged the Dragons, 1-0 last year in Sioux Falls, S.D.
MSUM is 1-9-3 overall and 1-9-1 in the NSIC after losing a pair of games at home last weekend. Â

About SMSUSouthwest Minnesota State is 6-6-2 and 6-4-1 in the NSIC entering the week under the direction of first-year Head Coach Erin Kasmarik-Mallett.
The Mustangs went 1-0-1 at home last weekend, beating Upper Iowa, 1-0 and tying Winona State, 0-0. Kylie Redmond and Miranda Cadena lead the SMSU offense. Each has four goals, two assists and 10 points to share the team scoring lead. Kendahl Fisher leads with five assists. Kristy Leopold has been the primary SMSU goalkeeper this season. She has a 5-3-1 record and three shutouts this season to go with 51 saves and a 1.00 goals allowed average.
About Sioux FallsThe Cougars, who will face Northern State prior to facing MSUM, enter the week at 2-11 overall and 1-10 in the NSIC. USF has a seven-game losing streak dating back to Sept. 27. The Cougars' lone NSIC win came on Sept. 26 with a 4-3 double-overtime victory over Mary. Lola Weiss has two goals and four points to lead the Cougar offense. Jackie Montes has two assists to lead the team. Through 13 games, USF has scored six goals. Morgan Perkins has started all 13 games in net for the Cougars. She has 88 saves, a 2.58 goals allowed average and one shutout on the season.
