MOORHEAD, Minn. – The Minnesota State University Moorhead women's soccer team dropped a 5-0 decision to Concordia-St. Paul in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference action Sunday in Moorhead, Minn.
MSUM fell to 1-5-3 overall and 1-5-1 in the NSIC, while Concordia improved to 5-5 and 4-3 in the league.
Jessica Bianchi and Jade Weller each scored two goals for the Golden Bears.
The game was 1-0 at halftime before Concordia scored four times in the second half to put the game out of reach.
Juniors
Gabrielle Bjorge and
Megan Selanders each had two shots on goal for MSUM. Both teams had nine shots on goal, but the Dragons were unable to find the back of the net against Concordia's Emma Gartner.
Sophomore
Corina Edgington made her first collegiate start in goal and played the first half, recording three saves. Senior
Ashley Leintz played the second half and had one save.
The Dragons go on the road next weekend for a pair of NSIC games, starting on Saturday at Winona State.
