Box Score JAMESTOWN, N.D. -- The Minnesota State University Moorhead women's soccer team opened the 2015 season with a 1-1 double overtime tie with Jamestown in nonconference action Friday in Jamestown, N.D.
MSUM is now 0-0-1 on the season while Jamestown is 1-1-2.
Junior
Jessica Johnson scored the Dragons' goal in the second half to tie the game at 1-1. She was assisted by senior
Lindsey Micheletti. Neither team scored again, however, as the game ended in a tie.
Sophomore forward
Mackenzie Carlson led MSUM with six shots, including two on goal. Johnson and junior defender
Gabrielle Bjorge had three shots each for the Dragons. MSUM senior goalkeeper
Ashley Leintz had seven saves in 110 minutes of action.
Jamestown had a slight 22-19 edge in shots.
The Dragons make their 2015 home debut Sunday against Spring Hill College (Ga.). Game time is 2 p.m. at the MSUM Soccer Field.
