WINONA, Minn. — The Minnesota State University Moorhead women's soccer team dropped a 2-0 contest to Winona State in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference action Saturday in Winona, Minn.
MSUM fell to 3-11 overall and 2-10 in the NSIC while Winona State improved to 7-7-1 overall and 4-7-1 in the NSIC.
"The season has been a process of putting together some really good moments of soccer and recognizing some moments to improve," MSUM head coach
Christie Chappell said. "We had some excellent moments today and I am proud of their fight."
Winona State had a 24-5 edge in shots on the game. Junior goalkeeper
Reagan VonBerge had seven saves in net for MSUM.

Maren Soupir led MSUM with two shots and one on goal. Senior
Jessica Johnson and sophomore
Ashley Coleman each had a shot on goal while freshman
Lindsey Brownell had a shot.
The Dragons wrap up the road weekend on Sunday at Upper Iowa. Game time is 1 p.m. in Fayette, Iowa.
